One of our favorite fine jewelry designers is Anne Sportun. Her designs are dainty, simple, and beautiful.
Sportun’s love for jewelry began at an early age. She began making jewelry in the basement of the house she grew up in, where she had access to all of her father’s tools. Sportun continued her dream to be a jewelry designer by entering a 3-year Jewelry Arts program. Over 4 decades later, she is still creating stunning pieces. Sportun is inspired by the balance (or lack thereof) in nature. The asymmetrical essence of each piece is reflected in her work. Using the combination of goldsmithing and naturalistic beauty, Sportun’s craftsmanship is impeccable. The raw appearance of the gemstones in her wrap bracelets and the asymmetrical design of her open concept ring shows the beautiful imbalance.
Anne’s jewelry uses delicate texture, unexpected asymmetry and gorgeous semi-precious gemstones and diamonds. She has a unique ability to design jewelry that feels fresh and will never go out of style. Her tagline ‘Precious Everyday’ is right in line with our philosophy of wearing your beautiful and precious things every day!
This is the perfect gift for your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day! These are pieces that you have to see in person, so stop in soon to get your Valentine’s Day checklist taken care of!
Right now we are having an exclusive trunk show with one of our favorite designers, Gurhan. His designs are exquisite!
Gurhan’s metals of choice are 24 karat gold and sterling silver. He is known as the man who changed how contemporary fine jewelry was made. After this unofficial honor, the 24 karat gold trend launched as a popular metal for fine jewelry everywhere.
Gurhan likes to mix metals like silver and gold. It has been said that his sterling silver designs are “kissed” with 24 karat gold. He uses an ancient jewelry technique to design his pieces. He studied techniques that goldsmiths were using 7000 years ago. He hammers everything by hand and creates his own style for each piece of jewelry. By using this classic method, it hardens the 24 karat gold. Gurhan also has a flair for taking ancient artifacts like thousand-year-old mosaics and transplanting them into pieces of jewelry like rings and necklaces.
Celebs have also been spotted wearing his pieces. From Sheryl Crow to Sandra Bullock, you are sure to see Gurhan’s beautiful work on the red carpet during events.
The trunk show goes on until the end of December so stop by or make an appointment! We would love to show you some of our favorite pieces.

We are so excited about our newest line of jewelry… Mi Moneda! We are lucky to be the only store (as of right now!) in the entire state of Wisconsin to carry this fabulous line of interchangeable pendants. Check it out…. gorgeous!
The company was founded by the beautiful Michelle Mentrop in 2009 in The Netherlands. Although Mentrop is Dutch, she has always loved Spanish culture. “Mi Moneda” means “my coin” in Spanish, and many of the pendants have a Spanish flair.
How does it work? First pick a chain, they come in a variety of sizes and metals. Next choose your pendant, Mi Moneda works in sterling silver, rose gold plate and yellow gold plate. Lastly, choose your Moneda (coin) to fit inside the pendant… and voila! You have a gorgeous necklace.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t stop there, Mi Moneda has over 600 unique coins to choose from. You can literally customize your necklace to go with any outfit. There is something for everyone.
Stop in soon to see our collection of monedas and put together your own necklace… or two!
We are jewelry ladies at Touch of Class. (But you probably knew that already!) One of our favorite designers is Syna. This remarkable husband and wife duo make beautiful pieces out of raw stones and 18K gold.
Creators Dharmesh and Namrata Kothari started Syna in 2003. Their designs feature raw gemstones that are carefully chosen from places including Australia and Brazil. They are then sent to Jaipur, India to be cut and polished into beautiful Mogul Drops, Bauble bracelets and rings.
One of our top picks is the bauble collection. Both the bracelets and rings fit well together for the perfect stack of beautiful gemstones.
We also carry Syna’s Jewel Chakra line. This collection features birthstones and can be paired on a necklace or bracelet. It is the perfect gemstone for a special someone that may be a minimalist when it comes to jewelry.
You need to come down to Touch of Class to try on these pieces. After you find that perfect Mogul Drop, a stack of Bauble bracelets or birthstone Jewel Chakra, you will be just as obsessed as we are.
The second annual Artspire festival is coming up this weekend! Downtown La Crosse will be transformed into an exciting celebration of visual, performing and literary arts. In honor of this fabulous community event, TOC has decided to join the fun by featuring one of our favorite jewelry artists, Réve.
The line was started by husband and wife duo Don and Elizabeth Buck in Arizona in 1984. Réve is the French word for “dream,” and these two have certainly formed a dream team. Their intricate details and unique designs are inspired by architecture, classical details, and nature. Each piece is a true work of art.
Elizabeth and Don craft their jewelry completely by hand using sterling silver, 14k and 18k gold, precious and semi-precious stones. They are very passionate and you can tell they love what they do with each unique piece they create.
Our beautiful collection of Réve is the perfect way to get into the Artspire spirit. Stop in to admire the fantastic craftsmanship of these two talented artists. It will really make you appreciate the time and care it takes to create artisan jewelry. Have an Artspired weekend!
The brunch reservation has been made and the corsage has been ordered, but you still need a gift! Mother’s Day is fast approaching, and you are looking for a gift as special as your mom. TOC has just the thing. Don’t procrastinate too long and stop in to see our lovely collection of gifts. Or send your mom in first to fill out a personalized wish list! Here are a few things that will probably be on it:
The TOC team is so excited about this new line of lotions, perfumes and bubble baths. Library of Flowers is handcrafted in small batches and bottled in Colorado. My favorite is the true vanilla, it has hints of bergamot, dark vanilla and amber. The gift sets make a great Mother’s Day treat for your mom, they include soap, body scrub, shower gel, handcreme and lip nectar. Pick a scent she’ll love and get something for yourself, too!
You can never go wrong with jewelry, especially when it is this beautiful. Not only can you give her one of these gorgeous lockets from Monica Rich Kosann, but we can customize it with your pictures. Kosann’s designs are timeless and elegant, yet contemporary and wearable. When your mom opens the locket and sees personal and meaningful pictures inside, there will most likely be tears… the happy kind!
These pillow cases are SO soft! We carried them at Christmas time and they were such a hit, we had to bring in new styles. The nightgowns are new from Faceplant Dreams and they are just as amazing as the pillow cases. Your mom will have such sweet dreams sleeping in one of these “mom” nightgowns and resting her head on a pillow case with a saying just for her. Don’t forget about your four legged friends, either! I am sure they want to get their mommy something special, too.
Finally, nothing says “I love you, mom,” like a gift from PANDORA. Their Mother’s Day collection is absolutely gorgeous. She already has a bracelet? PANDORA’s new collection of shimmering rose jewelry features graphic sterling silver silhouettes of over sized and miniature roses in .925 statement rings, a necklace, and stud earrings. I love their two Mother’s Day gift options, too, which make shopping for mom a breeze! This is PANDORA’s best Mother’s Day yet!
I can’t wait to go home and spend some time with my mom for Mother’s Day. I won’t say what I got her, because she might be reading this, but I know she would love any one of these gifts! I love you, mom!
Until next time, stay sassy and classy!

Guess who just got back from a long weekend in Chicago? This girl :) I spent the last five days dining, drinking, sight-seeing and most importantly, shopping! My biggest take-away from this mini vaca was this: You don’t have to go to the big city to shop like you’re in the big city. I was blown away at the number of designers I saw that we carry right here at TOC. Everywhere we went women were dressed in Eileen Fisher, Comfy, NIC + ZOE, and AGL shoes. Usually after a trip like this, I would be bringing home bags and bags of goodies from all the wonderful shopping spots. Not this time. I honestly did not buy one single thing! Why would I when I can get the same looks, or better right at home? Here are some of my fav designers I saw in Chicago that we carry at TOC:
Eileen Fisher has been a staple here at TOC for many years. We love the simplistic designs and chic aesthetics the line always has to offer. The newest pieces to add to your summer wardrobe include this jewel bateau-neck dress, linen crepe short sleeve cardigan, organic cotton flared skirt and bateau-neck shell. Perfect for layering, and dressing up or down.
I wasn’t even looking for Melissa Joy Manning Jewelry, but I turned around at Nordstrom and I noticed a beautiful display of gorgeous jewelry. Turns out it was Melissa Joy Manning! We began carrying this line about a year ago and it is one of my favorites. Manning creates artistic and delicate pieces using sterling silver, 14k gold, druzys, semi-precious stones, and oxidized silver. Her designs are organic, yet sophisticated. We love her two toned cuff bracelets and unique use of stones. If you haven’t yet, you definitely need to check it out next time you’re in!
You’ve heard me gush over AGL shoes before, and I’m going to do it, again. These shoes are seriously hard to beat on quality, design, comfort and versatility. Every pair is handmade in Italy and the materials, colors, leathers and hardware are all made to our specifications. Even though I saw a large display of AGL shoes at Nordstrom in Chicago, not a single pair was exactly identical to one of ours. How cool is that?! Shopping AGL shoes at TOC means that you will have a one-of-a-kind design unique to our store.
We are so excited to be carrying Mephisto shoes. They are a must-have for summer. You have not experienced comfort until you’ve walked a mile in a Mephisto. These shoes are handmade by master shoe makers in Portugal and France and have been around for over 50 years. These shoes are meant to be worn, walked in and loved… a lot. Come in and try them on, you will be hooked!
Speaking of comfort… I am SO glad I wore my favorite Lisette pants on the 5 hour drive to Chicago. Not only did I see tons of Lisette- style pants while I was in Chicago, but I also saw them at many of the great boutiques downtown. This weekend TOC is hosting a Lisette trunk show. This is so exciting because you don’t have to drive the big city to shop the entire collection from Lisette, we are going to have it available for you to try right here in our store starting this Thursday! We would love for you to make an appointment or just stop in. Just for trying on a pair of Lisette pants, you will be entered for a chance to win a credit of $125 toward Lisette merchandise! Call us at (608) 784-2640, we hope to see you there.
Wow this year flew by so fast! I cannot believe that Christmas is right around the corner. I got a head start on Christmas shopping, but if I don’t pick it up a notch, I’m going to be scrambling to get it all done! TOC has a gift for all of your special someones. Although the 12 days of Christmas technically begin after Christmas, I wanted to show you 12 days of gifts from TOC that would be perfect to put under that tree. Sing it with me now…
On the first day of Christmas, TOC gave to me.. Gurhan Jewelry!
We love this one of a kind faceted Aquamarine ring set in 24k hammered yellow gold. It pairs perfectly with these Phoenician drop earrings with oval cabochon green chalcedony stones… so gorgeous! Like what you see? Well… we are also very excited to announce that we will be kicking off a Gurhan trunk show this Thursday for our first ever Jewels of the Night event! Gurhan is sending us their very best pieces to show off to you. We cannot wait, you will be blown away. This is the perfect night to let us help you create a wish list, or to buy yourself a little early Christmas gift ;) We hope you can make it!
Make sure you stay tuned to read about the rest of the 12 days of TOC Christmas! And don’t be afraid to make an appointment for Thursday to ensure you get to see your favorite pieces up close and personal!
